Alternative Dispute Resolution
Conflict exists in all areas of life. Problems arise in families, among friends, in the workplace, in public sector organizations, within religious and educational institutions, and so on.
In some cases, parties are unable to manage or resolve their differences in ways that are constructive or satisfactory and may find the assistance of an impartial third party helpful.
SupportWorks Facilitation aims to help parties work through their differences, reach agreement, assist in communication, and achieve mutually satisfactory outcomes.
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provides a way of resolving disputes that is less adversarial, and may be an alternative to going to court.
ADR is typically less formal, less costly and less time-consuming than traditional litigation, and is usually voluntary and confidential. Parties remain in control of the process and the outcome.
Some of the most familiar ADR practices include mediation, arbitration and group facilitation.
